Responsibilities 💻

• Ownership of the corporate data warehouse on GCP and BigQuery, ensuring its development, maintenance and scalability.

• Lead the consolidation of multiple data sources into a unified, consistent and business-oriented model.

• Design, develop and orchestrate scalable, efficient and fault-tolerant data pipelines.

• Define standards for modelling, quality, traceability and data governance.

• Design data models using proven methodologies such as Kimball, the star schema and normalisation.

• Manage integrations with various data sources: databases, APIs, SaaS platforms, files and legacy systems.

• To ensure the quality, reliability and availability of data throughout its entire lifecycle.

• Help define the technical roadmap for the Data department, identifying opportunities for improvement and development.

• Act as the team’s technical lead, reviewing developments and promoting best practice in data engineering.

• Work closely with different business areas to turn requirements into high-impact data solutions.

You’re the PERFECT candidate if you have… 🔍

• Solid experience as a Senior Data Engineer in complex production environments.

• Demonstrable experience in building or developing corporate data warehouses.

• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.

• Experience in integrating multiple heterogeneous data sources into unified models.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.

• A sound understanding of data modelling and analytical architecture.

• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Experience working with large volumes of data and analytics-oriented architectures.

We will place particular emphasis on ⭐

• Experience with Airflow, DBT, Airbyte or similar tools.

• Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Experience with visualisation tools such as Looker, Power BI or similar.

• Experience in environments characterised by highly complex data sources and distributed data ecosystems.

• Ability to communicate technical decisions to non-technical staff.

• Experience in defining quality standards and data governance.

• An interest in or previous experience in the EdTech sector.
