- On 24 and 25 June, the group is bringing together professionals from sectors such as technology, healthcare, engineering, education and publishing for a free online event – with limited places – aimed at introducing students to real-life career paths and current perspectives on the job market.
EDUCA EDTECH Group is holding an event on 24 and 25 June EDUCA Mentorship, a free online event that brings together professionals from different fields to share experiences, insights and key takeaways on developments in their sectors.
The initiative was launched with a clear aim: engage pupils real conversations about the world of work. Not from a theoretical perspective, but from the experience of those who are already on that path. How does one reach a position of responsibility? What challenges arise along the way? Which skills start to make a difference? What opportunities are opening up in sectors undergoing rapid transformation?
Over the course of two days, EDUCA Mentorship offers an accessible, practical and up-to-date forum to gain a better understanding of how the labour market works beyond formal education, focusing on career guidance, employability and networking with professionals currently working in the field.
Real-life conversations to understand the labour market
EDUCA Mentorship is designed as a series of conversations with professionals who share how their careers have developed, which decisions have shaped their progress, and what changes are currently transforming their professional environment.
The event features the participation of Álvaro Serrano, director of Inteligenia; Alejandro Santiago, editorial director at Nazarí; Beatriz Torres, director of Clínica Cámara; Armando Benítez, director of engineering at Apogea; and Miguel Ángel Fernández, director of Academia FG.
Their talks offer an insight into a range of professional fields, from technology and engineering to healthcare, education and publishing. This diversity of profiles reinforces an increasingly obvious idea: professional development no longer follows a single path, but rather involves changing career trajectories, continuous learning and the ability to adapt.
An event to look at training from an experiential perspective
The event addresses key issues for students and professionals who wish to understand the direction in which various sectors are heading. Topics to be covered include the evolution of professional roles, current market challenges, technology-related trends, leadership, innovation and the opportunities that are beginning to emerge in various fields.
“EDUCA Mentorship was created to introduce students to discussions that do not always feature on the syllabus, but which are essential for making career decisions with a broader perspective. We want every student to be able to hear about real-life experiences, understand how a career path is built, and discover new ways of planning their future,” says the Employment and Work Placements team at EDUCA EDTECH Group.
In this regard, the initiative is in line with the group’s vision of linking online learning with the professional world. EDUCA EDTECH Group views education as a flexible, practical process linked to employability, in which learning does not end with the acquisition of knowledge, but is enriched by role models, experiences and useful guidance for professional development.
EDUCA Mentorship, a new way to build professional connections
EDUCA Mentorship forms part of the EDUCA EDTECH Group’s commitment to promote value-driven formats that bring pupils into contact with practising professionals, emerging sectors and new ways of understanding employment.
The online format makes it easier for students and interested individuals from different locations to take part, whilst maintaining a close and direct interaction. The event is free of charge and has a limited number of places, reinforcing its open, informative and career-supportive nature.
Following EDUCA Mentorship, the group plans to continue with this type of initiative through EDUCA Faculty Life, a new series due to launch in July that will give viewers a closer look at the teachers involved in the training programme: their career paths, their views on the sector, their professional inspiration and the person behind each learning experience.
