The town of Jamundí, in Valle del Cauca (Colombia), has been the epicentre of the drive for gender education with the closing ceremony of the Diploma course "Itinerant School in project formulation with a gender perspective".an initiative of EDUCA EDTECH Group certified by the group itself and endorsed by the Mayor's Office of Jamundí.
This commitment serves to consolidate local capacities and to make women's role as a driving force for social transformation more visible. It also had the institutional backing of the City Hall and the accompaniment of key national and international actors.
The inaugural event, chaired by the mayoress Paola Castillo, gathered to more than thirty leaders of the municipality. Their active participation culminated in the presentation of projects that respond to critical needs in their communities: community gardens for food security, women-led solar energy systems y initiatives that make the work of carers visible and dignify their work. Always from a gender and social inclusion perspective.
An international cooperation action focusing on gender and inclusion

Throughout six face-to-face and virtual modules, participants deepened their knowledge of the cycle of gender-sensitive projectsThey also had access to the following tools: participatory diagnosis, formulation of objectives sensitive to women's context, planning of activities with inclusive criteria and social impact assessment. In addition, they had access to hands-on workshops The project has also helped them to develop prototypes of sustainable community gardens and self-managed solar energy schemes.
